Wenchuan Earthquake

A strong earthquake happened at Wenchuan County in Sichuan Province on May 12. Beichuan County in Sichuan Province fell into ruins during the earthquake. There are about 70 thousand people died. The Chinese people were shocked at the news of Wenchuan Earthquake. I was so sorry to hear the horrible act of nature and thousands of people in Sichuan Province that were killed or hurt by it. I just can’t imagine so much destruction and loss of life. We have been keeping up with reports from the news. I have been worried about the people in the disaster areas during the newscast reporting the death and destruction after the earthquake in Wenchuan County. I have thought of the people in the earthquake areas after this terrible earthquake.
The Party under the leadership of General Secretary Hu Jintao leads the people all over China to begin to fight the earthquake immediately.
After 2 hours when Wenchuan Earthquake happened Premier Wen Jiabao got to the horrible earthquake zone. He went deep into many strong disaster areas and visited the people there. He said strongly: “Save the 100 thousand people, this is an order!”
PLA men advanced rapidly, went into the earthquake zone immediately. So did the medical teams and the earthquake experts. Their first thing is saving the life who was buried under the ruins. They are working the hardest and the most strongly all the time. More than ten thousand were saved from the ruins. There are thousands of heroes in the zone. I think all the people of the disaster areas are heroes whom we are learning from. I wish there was something we could do from here. Our thoughts are with the people in Sichuan Province. They are in our thoughts always.
The people all over the country are giving money or helping to Wenchuan earthquake zone. The teachers and students in our school gave more than two hundred thousand Yuan for the earthquake zone.
We see giving money and relief supplies transporting from all over the country and many foreign countries to the disaster areas.
We also see some relief teams in China and out of China that have come to provide some aid.
Now the heroes there are keeping on working greatly.
The Party under the leadership of General Secretary Hu Jintao is leading the people all over China from victory to victory.
We insist that it must win to fight against the Wenchuan Earthquake! The victory belongs to the great Chinese people!
